From 2012 to present day, Peru has undergone a total shift in its cacao supply chain, from fragmented and focused on conventional cacao, to a solidified supply chain based on fine flavor and quality. An Alliance of key stakeholders (producers, cooperatives, aggregators, buyers, technology companies, exporters, chocolatiers and financial institutions) was critical to completing this shift in market focus, streamlining the supply chain, and increasing value for all.
